Private jets arriving at ATH use the private aviation terminal operated by Goldair Handling, located in the eastern apron area of the airport complex. This terminal maintains its own customs and immigration officers, a dedicated lounge, and a ground vehicle lane that bypasses the main terminal entirely. FFGR Greece holds permanent airside access authorisation for this terminal.
Our protocol begins 90 minutes before the scheduled arrival. The chauffeur confirms vehicle positioning, the meet-and-greet coordinator confirms lounge readiness, and our flight tracking system monitors the aircraft from the last reporting point. When the aircraft touches down, the vehicle is already in position. The principal typically boards the car within 12 minutes of the aircraft stopping at the stand.
Scheduled Flights — Business Class Protocol
For principals arriving on scheduled services, we coordinate with the airport's VIP services team to access the Primeclass Lounge and the dedicated arrivals fast-track. A uniformed FFGR Greece representative meets the client at the aircraft gate with a discreet name card, manages the fast-track documentation, and escorts through customs and baggage claim.
The vehicle — positioned in the dedicated car park bay closest to the arrivals exit — is pre-cooled or pre-heated depending on season. The standard wait is less than three minutes from the moment the client exits the terminal. For clients with large luggage volumes or special items (artworks, instruments, sporting equipment), a second vehicle and an additional luggage handler are included at no additional charge for transfers of more than two hours.
Real-Time Communication
Every FFGR Greece airport transfer operates on a closed-loop communication protocol. The primary point of contact receives automated status updates at five stages: vehicle dispatched, vehicle positioned, representative at gate, client in vehicle, and arrival at destination confirmed. For hotel concierges managing a principal's schedule, these confirmations are essential. We provide them without being asked.
