Athens as an Art Capital
Athens has emerged, somewhat improbably, as one of Europe's most vital contemporary art cities. The National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST), occupying a converted 19th-century brewery in the Fix district; the Onassis Stegi cultural foundation with its world-class programme; and a dense concentration of private galleries in Kolonaki and Metaxourgio have placed Athens in the conversation alongside Berlin, London, and Brussels for contemporary art significance.
FFGR Greece Art Access Programme
For art collectors and enthusiasts, we arrange: private early-access previews at major exhibitions before public opening; studio visits with Athens-based artists including international names who have relocated from New York and Berlin; private evening receptions with gallery directors; and acquisition advisory services in partnership with our art specialist associates.
Art Week Transportation
During Athens Art Week (typically November), we provide full-day chauffeur service for gallery-to-gallery circuits across Kolonaki, Metaxourgio, and Kifissia — with sufficient time built into the schedule for unhurried engagement at every space.
