Airport to Northern Villa
Corfu International Airport sits on a thin strip of land between the city and the lagoon, 3 kilometres south of Corfu Town. The drive from the airport to the northern estates — Agni Bay, Kassiopi, Avlaki, Kalami (Lawrence Durrell's Blue House) — is 45 to 60 minutes on the coastal road, or 35 minutes via the mountain road through Spartilas.
We select the route based on season and time. The mountain road is faster but has sharp switchbacks that can be uncomfortable with substantial luggage. The coastal road is more scenic but backs up in July and August between Dassia and Ipsos. Our driver makes this call on the day based on live traffic and the client's stated preference for route type.
The Northern Villa Circuit
The northern estates require a ground operator who knows the unmarked gates, the access codes for certain private roads, and the specific vehicle requirements for estate approaches. Some of the most coveted Corfu villas have approaches that cover 500 metres of unpaved track through olive groves — approaches that require a vehicle with high clearance and a driver who has done it before.
We operate a Mercedes-Maybach S580 for formal arrivals and a Land Rover Defender 110 for properties that require the unpaved approach. Both vehicles carry the same FFGR Greece standard: pre-cooled cabin, water in the central console, driver in formal attire. The difference is only in what the wheels can handle.
