Three Peninsulas — Three Entirely Different Experiences
Halkidiki extends three finger-like peninsulas into the northern Aegean from south of Thessaloniki. Kassandra (the westernmost) hosts the beach resort infrastructure that Thessaloniki's middle class has used for decades — now upgraded to include some of Greece's finest boutique hotels. Sithonia (the middle) is wilder, its beaches more secluded, accessible only by knowing the local roads. Athos (the easternmost) is an autonomous monastic republic, home to 20 Orthodox monasteries, accessible to Orthodox Christian men only with a special permit — the diamonitirion.
FFGR Greece Halkidiki Service
For Kassandra and Sithonia: Rolls-Royce Cullinan, beach club access, private villa transfers, and the full FFGR concierge service. For Athos (male clients only): FFGR Greece assists with the diamonitirion application process (applied months in advance) and provides ground transportation to the Ouranoupolis ferry landing point. The monastic landscape of Athos — accessible only on foot or by small boat between monasteries once inside — is an experience available to very few people in the world.
