Mykonos VIP Ground Service — From New Port to Villa Without Exposure

May 26, 2026 · 6 min read · FFGR Greece Islands Team

Mykonos operates on a social currency that few other destinations share: visibility is a choice, not a default. For the yacht owner arriving at New Port, the film producer whose villa sits above Panormos Bay, or the financier who flies in privately to attend two nights of the Mykonos season before returning to Geneva — each requires ground transport that is professional, fast, and completely invisible to anyone who is not supposed to know they are there. FFGR Greece runs Mykonos' only luxury ground service staffed entirely by year-round island residents.

New Port — The Principal Arrival

Mykonos New Port is the arrival point for most high-value transfers: superyacht tenders, the fast catamaran from Athens, and in the quieter months, private vessels. The port operates 24 hours and during summer processes yacht tenders continuously between 9 am and midnight. FFGR Greece positions at the gate of Gate 3, the commercial quay where tenders dock, with the vehicle visible from the pontoon.

Our Mykonos port protocol: the driver confirms the tender's departure from the yacht via the captain's WhatsApp. Luggage transfer from tender to vehicle is managed by our dedicated handler. The client is in the vehicle and moving within four minutes of the tender touching the pontoon. We do not wait in traffic. We move.

The Airport Circuit

Mykonos Airport (JMK) is one of the most challenging in Greece: a single runway, no private terminal, and in July-August a traffic volume that puts the airport at capacity. Charter arrivals are processed through the main terminal; there is no separation between scheduled and private passengers beyond the aircraft itself.

Our airport protocol compensates. A uniformed FFGR Greece representative is positioned inside the arrivals hall from the moment the aircraft lands. The vehicle is in the position closest to the exit door. Luggage is collected while the client is still clearing the terminal. Total time from aircraft stop to vehicle departure: typically 22 minutes, including a 10-minute customs clearance for non-EU arrivals.

Night Service — Nammos, Scorpios & Beyond

The Mykonos evening circuit — Nammos Beach Club at Psarou, Scorpios at Paraga, Cavo Paradiso in the early hours — requires ground transport that operates on a completely different logic from the daytime service. Departures from beach clubs rarely happen before midnight. Arrivals home often occur at 4 or 5 am. Our night service team is not a reduced version of the daytime team. It is a separate, fully staffed operation.

Scorpios requires a specific approach: the property is accessible only via an unpaved road through olive groves, and the parking area 400 metres from the main entrance fills completely by 11 pm. We position our vehicles in the reserved FFGR bay and coordinate departure timing with the client via discreet message rather than physical presence at the table. We do not approach the client in a social setting.
